Vintage 1950s Punch & Judy King Hand Puppet - German Paper Mache

This is a fantastic hand puppet of a king i believe, from a Punch and Judy set

I've tried to research him, but the only thing i can find is he is German (Bavavian) and made from Paper Mache (head, hands and feet)

He comes in great condition, with what i think is his original outfit. Beautifully painted face

He has dangling legs (shown sitting on a jar, to show where the hand would go)
